I found this really funny t-shirt online about 4 months ago, and thought...my dad needs that shirt. It is a navy blue t-shirt and says in big white letters, "Awesome Like My Daughter." I thought it was funny, so I purchased one. It was the perfect gift for Father's Day, and he loved it. I made a card for him, and decorated a Panera Bread bag to match. I love how it all turned out. Materials Used: Altenew: Trophy Life stamp set Delicata inks: Celestial Copper & Sapphire Blue The Paper Studio: Metallic Washi Tap in copper and blue Cards tock: Recollections Scalloped Nesting Dies (sorry I do not remember the maker) Pattern Paper from my stash Gift Bag was a up-cycled bag from Panera Bread (it was from a lunch order, but all the food was in containers, so why not use it)
These are the best of pictures that Dallas took. No edits and no filters.
I am always really honored when people ask me to take pictures of them. It's not something that I would typically charge money for, it's more of a hobby, but I love that family and friends trust me with their special moments. These pictures are of my cousin's daughter and her soon to be husband. They will be getting married in October and asked me to take engagement photos of the two of them. We went to Prairie Creek Park in Richardson, which has become my new favorite place to shoot. There are so many lovely options at the park, and I feel like it is hard to take bad pictures there. I had trouble narrowing down these pictures to just my few favorites. Congratulations to Heather and Mike, I can not wait to celebrate your big day with you. Hope you love these as much as I do.
3 The good thing about having so much free time lately is that I have been able to spend that time doing things that I love to do. I have been doing a lot of family history research and have spent a lot of time in my craft room; catching up on my scrapbooking and restocking my stash of handmade cards.
I completed this page to put in my 2014 scrapbook album, and the purpose of the page is to document the completion of my son's 1st grade year. At the time we lived in Denton, Texas. He was so small and super cute. I find it hard to believe that now he is 10 and about to be finished with the 4th grade. I have always loved stars and they tend to be a reoccurring theme in all my scrapbooks. On this layout, I wanted the focus to be on the pictures of my son, so I picked a more neutral, tan and cream base with white and navy blue accents to match the background in the pictures. I love how it turned out! Materials Used: Stars and arrows - Heidi Swapp (They are on a thick acetate, and a little hard to see in the pictures, but really fun in person) Journaling Cards - Captured Moments collection by KaiserCraft Cricut - Type Candy Font Challenges Entered: Lasting Memories Pause Dream Enjoy Blog Update: May 6, 2018 - I was chosen as a Top 3 Pick for this layout on the Pause Dream Enjoy Site! |
